Pipettes.dispense and Head96.dispense take flow rate, transport air, stop-back volume, blow-out air, settling time and swap speed from the liquid class, but send a cut-off speed (ss / es) of 5.0 uL/s whatever the class's dispense_stop_flow_rate. The stock STAR classes carry 0.4 to 500 uL/s - the jet water classes 100 to 250 - so a dispense by class ends at a speed the class does not ask for.

  • DISPENSE_CLASS_ATTRIBUTES maps cut_off_speeds to dispense_stop_flow_rate
  • Pipettes.dispense and Head96.dispense resolve the cut-off through by_class, as the other class fields; an explicit value wins
  • without a class (piston volumes) the cut-off stays 5.0
  • every stock class value is inside the channel (0.4-500) and 96-head (0.3-500) ranges
  • the Prep reads the same map by name and does not ask for cut_off_speeds: unchanged

Tests: pipettes_tests and head_tests - a jet / blow-out dispense sends the class's cut-off (ss2500 2500, es1000), and an explicit 4.5 uL/s wins (45).

The channel and 96-head dispenses took flow rate, transport air, stop-back
volume, blow-out air, settling time and swap speed from the liquid class, but
sent a cut-off speed of 5.0 uL/s whatever the class's dispense_stop_flow_rate.

- DISPENSE_CLASS_ATTRIBUTES maps cut_off_speeds to dispense_stop_flow_rate
- Pipettes.dispense and Head96.dispense resolve the cut-off through by_class;
  an explicit value wins, and 5.0 stays the default without a class
