Currently, the .Format() exporter does not return colorized output.

I wonder if we should automatically detect a tty mode or add a global parameter.

I'm not even sure this is our job to write a colorized and human-readable log, since this library is not intended to be a logger.

The color library (https://github.com/fatih/color) which is pretty widespread is using github.com/mattn/go-isatty https://github.com/fatih/color/blob/26fd5780133db7c1de94553fdd7de27967d3d38f/color.go#L23.
So colors would be great for text console output where I also print stuff in multiline and not as json

Yes, but detecting TTY would not help if you send the error to both stdout and an external log aggregator.

I suppose that creating 2 methods would move the responsibility to enable/disable the color mode to the developer.

Or as a alternative: add a global setting. Usually what I do then trigger that flag in my unit tests at least.

The color setting is tightly coupled to the logger configuration, so i think the on/off setting is out of the scope of oops. And this library should support both mode at the same time.
