[FEATURE] Toggle for freeze/unfreeze container #359
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
VM managers have a toggle to freeze/unfreeze (or maybe it's called suspend/thaw) the guest on demand.
Describe the solution you'd like
Can the Droidspaces > Containers tab also implement a "Pause" button next to the Stop/Restart buttons for a container.
Describe alternatives you've considered echo 1 > /sys/fs/cgroup/droidspaces/ubuntu/cgroup.freeze for freeze and echo 0 > /sys/fs/cgroup/droidspaces/ubuntu/cgroup.freeze for unfreeze seems to work
Additional context
Probably as an optional feature that's automatically visible if the freezer kernel config is enabled.
Your approach works. However, the issue is that since the Android app uses a shared root shell via libSU to execute commands, once a container gets frozen, every single root action of the app hangs as the app waits for a command run inside the frozen container to fetch the telemetry to finish.
So, we have to figure that issue out first before implementing this.
Not planned for now. Pausing a container doesn't free any memory, it breaks live connections (TCP, Anland/X11 sessions), and restarting is already fast.
Writing cgroup.freeze by hand works, just don't use the app while a container is frozen. Its root actions will hang until you unfreeze it.

Thanks for the suggestion.

My bad, I didn't notice that. I had just done a quick test on that container and didn't realise the root actions was paused with it.
