Replicas now properly inherit the retain_repo_versions setting from upstream repositories during replication. Previously, replicas would always use the default value (None), preventing them from matching the primary's retention policy.

Changes:

  • Updated Replicator.repository_extra_fields() to accept upstream_distribution and fetch retain_repo_versions from upstream repository
  • Added _extract_repository_href() helper to extract repo href from distributions
  • Updated File plugin replicator to call super() for enhanced compatibility
  • Added functional test for retain_repo_versions replication

fixes #7921
