Convention archive for #56 (partial-scope merge).

Summary

  • Move both halves of `2026-06-11-docs-tutorials-and-observability-split-{design,plan}.md` to `planning/archived/`.
  • Flip `status: draft → shipped`, fill `pr: "56"`, and write a partial-scope `outcome`:

    merged 2026-06-12 as docs: split observability.md into Reference + How-to + Explanation #56 (observability split only; tutorials §1 §2 deferred to a follow-on spec)

  • `planning/README.md`: move the entry from Active to Archived; Active returns to "None.".

Same shape as #52 and #54, with the partial-scope wrinkle captured in the outcome line plus the "Scope reduction" callout already in the archived spec body.

Test plan

  • `uv run eof-fixer . --check` passes
  • Reviewer: open `planning/README.md` and confirm Active is empty, Archived starts with this entry plus the partial-scope note
  • Reviewer: spot-check archived design's frontmatter — outcome line clear about what shipped vs deferred

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

#56 shipped Tasks 4-7 of the docs-tutorials-and-observability-split
spec (the observability split + nav + cross-links). Tasks 2-3 (the
two tutorials) were explicitly deferred via the scope-reduction
commit on the PR.

The pair archives as shipped — outcome line spells out the partial
scope so a future reader sees it without opening the spec.
Tutorial work will land via a fresh spec when picked up; this pair
captures the thinking but only half-of-it shipped.
