What problem does this solve?
hunting down model git url that can be added, and also shown total download/install size estimate would be nice, currently downloading Trellis.2 GGUF Model and its like 50gb and counting, would have been nice to know that upfront

Fixed in 1.0.9: the extension downloaded every quantization (plus the BF16 files on some paths), which is where the 50–128 GB came from. Each node now downloads only what it uses:
That makes about 10.4 GB for the default install. On Modly 0.4.3+, other quantizations (Q4_K_M, Q6_K, Q8_0) can be added or removed individually from the extension panel, which shows their size before download. Existing installs can delete the old
models/trellis2folder and reinstall the weights to reclaim the space.
