Summary

  • Adds CertHalo to the monitoring options list on /docs/monitoring-options/
  • Updates lastmod in content/en/docs/monitoring-options.md

Disclosure: I'm the founder of CertHalo, which is built and run by IncubXperts.

About CertHalo

CertHalo monitors TLS certificates from the outside, the way a browser sees them, so it works with any ACME client, web server, CDN or certificate authority, Let's Encrypt included. Nothing to install.

  • Expiry reminders (60, 30, 14, 7, 3 and 1 day before by default)
  • Alerts when a certificate is renewed, changes issuer, stops matching its hostname, loses a trusted chain, is revoked (OCSP and CRL) or becomes unreachable. This catches the common case where a renewal succeeds but the server never reloads the new certificate.
  • Alerts by email, Slack or Microsoft Teams
  • Free plan for 3 certificates, no card required; paid plans for more

Context: CertHalo grew out of SSL Expiry Tracker, an expiry-reminder tool we ran before. With Let's Encrypt's expiration emails ended and certificate lifetimes getting shorter, an independent external check is a useful safety net for subscribers, and we'd be glad to be listed as one of the options.

I understand from #1926 that the team reviews each service before listing it. Happy to answer any questions or provide anything you need for that review.
