Fork-only draft for human review. Do not merge to DavidHDev/react-bits from this PR.

Upstream target

CONTRIBUTING check

Read CONTRIBUTING.md.

  • Issue tracker first: no existing Commons Clause / SPDX issue. Fork-only HITL does not open an upstream issue.
  • Branch name feat/<feature-name>: feat/readme-commons-clause-wording.
  • PRs target main.
  • New community components are not accepted; this is docs only (not a component / not 4 variants).
  • No PR template.

Change

README license one-liner now matches LICENSE.md: commercial use in an app/website/product is allowed; selling, sublicensing, or redistributing the components themselves is not. No license change.

Test plan

  • Diff is one README sentence
  • Human: wording OK vs LICENSE.md Commons Clause paragraph

LICENSE.md allows commercial use of the Software in an application,
website, or product, but forbids selling, sublicensing, or redistributing
the components themselves. The README one-liner only said "free for
personal and commercial use," which understates that restriction.
