A valid root environment string is stored only as Event.Environment instead of also being copied into data.environment. Any other root value keeps main's behavior and is stored as custom data. Parsing is now the same on every path and gives the same result when repeated, so the ingestion-only serializer, the normalized parse path, and the EventPostInfo.IsNormalized queue flag are removed. …, and ! negation - Combine the environment filter with the project filter for stack user counts; a filter expression on the system filter replaced the project filter, so organizations with more than ten busy projects could report zero total users. - Treat one user's open sessions in different environments as distinct when closing duplicate heartbeat sessions. - Recognize ! as a negated group when scoping user counts by environment. - Hide the event overview Environment row when the event has none. - Document that notifications and the New view are not environment-aware, the shared heartbeat behavior, and running the mapping migration before processing events. …to raw project terms - Consume session heartbeats after every page is processed, and detect duplicate sessions across pages, so a user's heartbeat keeps their sessions open in every environment even when those sessions are returned on different pages. - Include positive project terms from a raw search, such as legacy saved views or hand-written URLs, when discovering environment names. … is cancelled - Skip project terms beneath negated groups, such as NOT (project:id) or -(project:id), when scoping environment discovery. - Leave consumed heartbeats in the cache when a session run is cancelled before every page is processed, so sessions on the remaining pages still see them on the next run. …raw search Collecting every positive project term ignored OR semantics, so a search such as (project:id OR type:error) restricted the environment picker to one project even though the other branch includes every project. A raw search now narrows discovery only when its project terms, or project picker groups such as (project:a OR project:b), are combined with the rest of the search by AND. Searches with any other OR branch or negation keep organization-wide discovery, which can only show extra names. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Checking the text outside project terms for any OR or negation discarded the project scope for searches such as project:id (status:open OR status:regressed), where the unrelated OR group is still constrained to the project. A small Boolean parser now follows grouping: an unrelated AND clause keeps the scope, an OR branch without one removes it, and negated clauses never add one, matching how the server scopes environment user counts. …covery The project picker and a raw search's project terms are combined by AND, as are AND clauses within a search, so their project scopes now intersect instead of being unioned. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

…iscovery A wildcard, range, or partial project ID can match other projects, but it was treated as an empty bounded scope, so (project:id OR project:537*) narrowed environment discovery to the exact project. Only exact project IDs, alone or in an OR group, now limit the scope. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Consumed heartbeats are now removed only if they still hold the value the job applied, so a heartbeat written while later pages are processed is left for the next run instead of being deleted unapplied. The cancellation test now cancels after the job saves its first page instead of on a wall-clock timer, and a new test writes a heartbeat at that point and checks it survives. Restructure the C# tests added by this branch into explicit Arrange, Act, and Assert sections with assertions kept out of the action, as the repository's test conventions require. Scenario tests that send several requests now capture the results in Act and assert on them afterward. The environment round-trip test parses its serialized output once instead of three identical times. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

When a newer heartbeat arrived between pages, a later page recorded the new value and the final compare-and-remove deleted it, even though sessions on earlier pages had only applied the old value. The job now keeps the first value read for each heartbeat key, so the newer heartbeat is left for the next run. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

The API-origin scenario forwards requests through page.route. A background saved-views query could still be forwarding when the assertions finished, and Playwright reported the in-flight route.fetch as an error outside any test, failing the shard. Remove the routes and ignore in-flight handlers before the test ends. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Events can now carry a deployment environment such as production, staging, or development. Users can filter Events, Stacks, Sessions, and Stream by environment and save those selections in views and URLs. The same error stays in one stack with shared status and fixed-version behavior.
environmentfield to JSON and GET event submissions, index mappings and migration, event details/table columns, webhook and MCP projections, and free-plan search/aggregation support.data.@environmentas machine/runtime diagnostics. Automatic sessions remain separate across environments.Validation: the full API CI suite passed, including ingestion, mappings, filtering/counts, fixed versions, sessions, webhooks, MCP, and OpenAPI contracts. Frontend validation, focused unit tests, and the full browser CI suite passed. GET submission and grouped-filter regressions also passed locally. No breaking API changes.
