Queue: Kotlin Android live transcription (Kotlin) #77

Description

@github-actions

Integration: Kotlin Android

Why this is valuable

Android has 3B+ active devices and Kotlin is the primary language. React Native and Flutter examples exist, but native Android developers need a Kotlin-first example using Jetpack Compose. Native audio capture performs better and is required for many production apps.

Suggested approach

Build a Kotlin Android app with Jetpack Compose that captures microphone audio using Android's AudioRecord API, streams it via WebSocket to Deepgram for real-time transcription, and displays live results in the UI. Include proper permission handling and background audio support.

Credentials needed
