Summary

  • Replace LICENSE with the official GNU Affero General Public License v3 text (from gnu.org)
  • pyproject.toml: license = "AGPL-3.0-or-later" and the AGPLv3+ trove classifier
  • README.md: update license badge, and add a Copyright © 2026 datHere notice to the footer alongside the AGPL statement (the old MIT LICENSE carried the copyright line; the AGPL text must stay verbatim, so the notice lives in the README instead)

Notes

  • Uses "or later" per GNU's recommendation; switch to AGPL-3.0-only if we want to pin v3.
  • Any external contributions made under MIT need contributor consent to relicense.
  • AGPL §13: hosted deployments (web app, Fair Store) must offer users access to the corresponding source — a link to this repo in the UI satisfies it.
  • Possible follow-up: per-file Copyright + SPDX-License-Identifier: AGPL-3.0-or-later headers in src/.
