For some as-yet unknown reason, if a JobFile is saved without removing the " text delimiter (as is the default in OpenOffice), the model will run just fine (though in a directory with quotes in the name... shudder). But for some reason covariates will not be correctly added to the model if they're being used.
Obviously the best situation is for users to make sure they're files are being saved correctly in whatever software they're using to edit them, but I'll look into the issue to try to fix the behavior.
