Summary

Adds an automated flash script and comprehensive documentation for flashing firmware to XIAO ESP32-C6 devices.

New Files

  • flash.sh - Automated flashing script
  • HOWTO-FLASH.md - Step-by-step flashing guide

Flash Script Features

  • Auto-detects USB serial port
  • Prompts for selection when multiple devices connected
  • Verifies ESP32-C6 chip type during upload (rejects wrong chips)
  • Displays device MAC address for identification
  • Supports all build environments (debug, release, debugSSDP, releaseSSDP)
  • Options:
    • -e, --env - Select build environment
    • -s, --skip-build - Use existing firmware (faster for multiple devices)
    • -f, --skip-fs - Skip filesystem upload
    • -y, --yes - Auto-confirm prompts
    • -m, --monitor - Open serial monitor after flash

Usage Examples

# Standard flash (debug build)
./flash.sh

# Flash multiple devices quickly
./flash.sh -e release -s -y

# Flash and monitor
./flash.sh -m

Your PR was really helpful to help me flash the ESP32-C6, thank you! However, I can't seem to be able to read any signal from the remote. Could I ask you how you configured the pins? Both in term of wiring and on the UI. I have tried both of those wirings (E07-M1101D <-> ESP32-C6):

1 <-> GND
2 <-> 3V3
3 <-> D7
4 <-> D2
5 <-> D8
6 <-> D10
7 <-> D9
8 <-> D6

as suggested by @Tsury on rstrouse#587. And:

1 <-> GND
2 <-> 3V3
3 <-> D3
4 <-> D2
5 <-> D8
6 <-> D10
7 <-> D9
8 <-> D6

as suggested by your documentation. Then I am pretty sure I have all the correct GPIO set in the UI, except for the RX/TX ones, because other values would not remove the "Radio Not Initialized" message.
