OpenVox 9.0.0, OpenVox Server 9.0.1, OpenVoxDB 9.0.0, and OpenFact 6.2.1 shipped on October 2, 2026. The 9.x collections still described the series as a prerelease and stopped at the first release candidate. - Drop the prerelease callouts from the three 9.x landing pages and release-notes pages, and reword the supported-platforms note, which now lists the platforms dropped since 8.x instead of "in development". - Add release-notes entries for the stable releases and the release candidates that followed rc1 (agent rc2, rc3, rc4; server rc2; OpenVoxDB rc2), with the security tables scored from NVD. Rewrite the older prerelease entries in the past tense. - Document the two known issues from the release announcement: the agent daemon hang (openvox#485) on the OpenVox 9 page, and the older Bouncy Castle FIPS jars on the server and OpenVoxDB pages. - Correct the OpenVoxDB JAVA_BIN note for the ezbake 4.2 launcher, which honors JAVA_BIN unless it is /usr/bin/java, and say that an override must point at Java 21 on the FIPS packages, which support Java 21 only. - Correct the openvoxdb-termini dependency: the published 9.0.0 package depends on openvox-agent with no version constraint on both apt and yum; only the openvoxdb package requires 9.0.0 or newer. - Add the OpenFact 6.1.0, 6.2.0, and 6.2.1 entries. - Point the openvox 9.x and openfact 6.x pins at the "9.x" and "6.x" series refs so the generated references track point releases. Part of #456.
OpenVox 9.0.0, OpenVox Server 9.0.1, OpenVoxDB 9.0.0, and OpenFact 6.2.1 shipped on October 2, and the release announcement links straight to the
/openvox/9.x/,/openvox-server/9.x/, and/openvoxdb/9.x/trees. Those trees still described the series as a prerelease and their release notes stopped at the first release candidate. This PR brings the 9.x content up to the stable release. It does not promote 9.x tolatest; that is the next step in #456 and will be its own PR.Changes
Prerelease wording removed. The "in prerelease" callouts on the three 9.x landing pages and release-notes pages are gone. The 9.x supported-platforms note now lists what was dropped since 8.x (EL 7, Amazon Linux 2, Fedora 42, Debian 11, Ubuntu 25.04; Debian 12 agent only) instead of saying the list is in development.
shared-actionsstill has no9.xkey inplatforms.json, so the table keeps reading themainrows.Release notes. New entries for 9.0.0 (agent), 9.0.1 (server, with a line on why there is no 9.0.0), 9.0.0 (OpenVoxDB), and the release candidates after rc1 that had no entry yet (agent rc2, rc3, rc4; server rc2; OpenVoxDB rc2). The stable entries consolidate the breaking changes across the prerelease cycle, since readers upgrading from 8.x will not read six prerelease entries. Security tables use CVSS base scores looked up on NVD; the Bouncy Castle entries only have CVSS 4.0 scores there and the table says so (the upstream release pages list them as not yet scored). The older prerelease entries are reworded in the past tense. OpenFact 6.x gets its 6.1.0, 6.2.0, and 6.2.1 entries.
Known issues. The OpenVox 9 page documents the agent daemon hang (openvox#485) with the
RUBY_TCP_NO_FAST_FALLBACK=1override from the announcement. The server and OpenVoxDB pages note the older Bouncy Castle FIPS jars that 9.1 will replace.Corrections. The OpenVoxDB configure page said 9.x ignores
JAVA_BINand runs a build-time Java; that was rc1 behavior. With the ezbake 4.2 launcher in rc2 and later,JAVA_BINis honored unless it is/usr/bin/java. The OpenVoxDB index and release notes saidopenvoxdb-terminirequiresopenvox-agent9; the published 9.0.0 package depends onopenvox-agentwith no version on both yum (EL 9primary.xml) and apt (Ubuntu 24.04Packages), so onlyopenvoxdbitself carries the 9.0.0 requirement. The upstream release notes say otherwise; the package metadata is what I went by.Pins.
products.ymlmoves openvox 9.x from9.0.0-rc1to the"9.x"series ref and openfact 6.x from6.0.0to"6.x", so the generated references track point releases from here on.rake references:openvox VERSION=9.x COLLECTION=_openvox_9xresolves to 9.0.0 locally.Checks
rake test:products_datapasses.jekyll build, then htmlproofer over_site/openvox/9.x,openvox-server/9.x,openvoxdb/9.x, andopenfact/6.xafter regenerating the 9.x references from the new pin. The only failures are the known false positive for the ungenerated OpenFact 6.xcli.htmlandcore_facts.html.server,reports,preprocess_deferred,runtimeout) exist in the 9.0.0configuration.md.Follow-ups (not in this PR)
openvox_platform.mdstill saysopenvox8-release; Backport 9.x-only fixes to 8.x and correct version claims on shared pages #496 fixes that, so I left it alone here.latest, theSERIES=9.component-version data files, and dropping the curl column from the 9.x component-versions page are the next OpenVox 9 documentation: remaining cutovers and GA promotion #456 step.Assisted by Claude.
