Shared component registration and foundational utilities are now organized in Foundations, supporting more consistent behavior across component packages.
Package builds now include the Foundations resources they require.
Internal imports are grouped by category; the previous combined internal entry point is no longer available.
Bug Fixes
Scoped registries preserve existing registrations and are reused by package version.
Duplicate-version warnings are available for local development.
Package discovery continues when directory entries are unreadable.
Documentation
Updated internal API guidance and package notices.
It looks like this branch is under active development. To avoid overwhelming you with review comments due to an influx of new commits, CodeRabbit has automatically paused this review. You can configure this behavior by changing the reviews.auto_review.auto_pause_after_reviewed_commits setting.
Foundations adds category-specific internal entrypoints for shared utilities. Component packages update their imports and build dependencies. Core removes or relocates former utility implementations. The change also updates metadata file discovery, media instrumentation, release dependencies, and third-party notices.
Foundations exposes category-specific internal entrypoints. It adds or reorganizes element definition, global state, audit-warning, object-merge, and style utilities. Related tests, exports, ScrollBox imports, and documentation use the category paths.
Move consumers to Foundations utilities projects/{code,core,markdown,media,monaco,plot,scene,viewport}/src/**, projects/site/src/docs/*
Component registration and utility imports now use Foundations internal entrypoints. Core removes its former registration and utility implementations. Scoped-registry code requests version-specific registries through GlobalStateService.getScopedRegistry.
Update build and release prerequisites package.json, projects/{code,core,markdown,media,monaco,plot,scene,viewport}/package.json, projects/monaco/vite.config.ts, projects/core/eslint-suppressions.json
Component build tasks track Foundations output and add its build prerequisite. Monaco replaces Core with Foundations as a build prerequisite. Root release task dependencies change.
Update media controller instrumentation projects/media/src/controller/*
MediaController no longer uses the audit decorator. Its Lighthouse JavaScript payload limit changes from 12 KB to 9.5 KB.
Repeated component registration can expose child definitions globally. The browser-test, warning-link, and object-merge concerns also remain open; address or explicitly accept these bounded risks before merging.

Slightly different organization than what was in core/internals. Breaking things into groups of related problem domains. Example popovers/, keynav/, draggable/ type util directories eventually can live here. I aimed for groups to get away from a single monolithic internals entrypoint. This should help perf for non build based use (esm) and improve build time of the projects as it can tree shake/build the dependency graph more efficiently.

- Line 4: Wrap the Foundations define helper in the Core-side Divider definition
flow and update NVE_ELEMENTS.state.elementRegistry only after a new nve-divider
global registration succeeds. Preserve existing registrations without
dispatching, and keep Foundations independent of Core.

Measure a rendered markdown fixture before setting the 10 KB limit.
The fixture supplies only 1 as light-DOM text. Markdown loads markdown-it only when it parses a nonempty source or template, so this test never measures the parser request. The new limit can pass while a page that renders markdown transfers substantially more JavaScript. Set a nonempty source or template, then set the limit from that report. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

key before recursively merging properties, and apply the same guard to the
duplicate deepMerge implementation in core so the unsafe behavior is not
retained there.
