Hi, I found what looks like a parsing issue with the LinuxGSM query implementation for Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix / SoF2Plus. When querying a SoF2 server, the player list is displayed incorrectly. The value shown in the PLAYER column is actually the player’s team ID, instead of the player’s real nickname. In SoF2 the team values are: * 1 = Blue Team * 2 = Red Team * 3 = Spectator So the query currently returns player names such as: 1 1 1 2 2 3 while the frags and ping values appear to be parsed correctly. The actual player name is present in the server query response, but it looks like the parser is reading the wrong field/column and using the team value as the player’s name.
Script name
ismygameserveronline website
Game
sof2mp gold
Linux distro
Debian 13
Command
command: console
Expected behavior
Expected behavior:
The PLAYER column should contain the actual player nickname, while the team value should either be ignored or parsed separately.
Actual behavior
Current behavior:
The PLAYER column contains the SoF2 team ID (1, 2, or 3).
Further information
Instead of:
PLAYER FRAGS PING
1 79 176
1 58 179
2 42 175
3 0 163
it should return something like:
PLAYER FRAGS PING
PlayerName1 79 176
PlayerName2 58 179
PlayerName3 42 175
SpectatorName 0 163
Game: Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix
Server: Only GOLD edition affected the Silver is okay
Version: Gold
Protocol: 2004
Pre-checks
Relevant log output
Steps to reproduce
- Query a running SoF2 / SoF2Plus server containing real players.
- Open the player list returned by the query.
- Check the PLAYER field.
- Player names are shown as 1, 2 or 3 instead of their actual nicknames.
