pinch/keyboard zoom in the preview pane ( only )

I love this app. Learning about it came as a revelation. Props to the devs for making this beauty. The bi-directional section highlighting is literal perfection. Nice

As the title mentions. I found that it would be maybe cool to have native pinch to zoom in the preview pane. Ala Chrome and VS Code Live Preview.

Throwing it out there.

So not knowing hardly anything about the inner workings, I did manage to get a proof-of-concept extension kind of working ( reflow zoom via CSS zoom on the preview document, injected through LiveDevProtocol.evaluate() ), and hit three snags you might also encounter. Might be some worthwhile information here, disregard if not. - - - -

• CSS.supports("zoom", …) returns false in the desktop WebView2 even though CSS zoom works fine there — feature-detect by assigning el.style.zoom instead.

• Highlight Mode overlays misalign when the page is zoomed — RemoteFunctions positions its overlays from getBoundingClientRect(), which doesn't account for CSS zoom on the document, so the highlight boxes drift/scale away from their elements.

• Trackpad pinch never reaches the page in the desktop app — the Tauri/WebView2 shell swallows it entirely ( Chrome forwards pinch as ctrl+wheel ). So pinch support needs a shell-level change; Ctrl+wheel works from page level already.

The fix is more at a shell level than in js level. So this might get resolved only in August release. The July release is scheduled by the end of this month and may not pick the changes. But it will most likely get fixed in the September release.
