Any way to make the "Relay" step not break the old queries?

When I got to the "Relay" portion of the tutorial, all of my old GraphQL queries stopped working and it's not clear why. Here's an example:

I am unsure if this is the consequence of the code added at this step and was intentional or if I've screwed something up. If it's the case of the former, It would be nice if the relay portion of the tutorial could be done in a way that it doesn't break all the work we'd done up to that point.
