Hi team, please make it possible to use Browserbase from Cloudflare workers

Example

Use Stagehand on a Cloudflare Worker, but connect to Browserbase for the browsers rather than Cloudflare Browser Rendering

Motivation

Browserbase offers many advantages during development compared to Cloudflare Browser Rendering, such as watching live interactions and recorded previous interactions to debug.

I ran into this exact limitation when I wanted to use Browserbase, Steel, and local Chrome (local testing) with @cloudflare/playwright. I ended up forking this library with a few minor patches, @effect-libs/cloudflare-playwright. The fork adds direct ws:///wss:// CDP support while leaving the Cloudflare Browser Run endpoints alone. I’ve also opened #221 with that approach in case it is useful upstream.

For people familiar with Effect, I also wrote the browser: @effect-libs/browser-playwright provides the Playwright integration, and @effect-libs/browser-providers handles provider/session lifecycle integration. Browserbase usage is documented here.
