RxJava2 has changed its default policy regarding errors: Exceptions are never swallowed or ignored.
Therefore I suggest that the default implementation should also handle exceptions differently.
Maybe just get the io.reactivex.plugins.RxJavaPlugins#getErrorHandler and use that.
At least that is what I expected.
