Run Parakeet TDT on Mac & Windows with one click — WhisperScript

We just shipped Parakeet support in WhisperScript, a native, local transcription app for Mac and Windows. Wanted to share since it makes Parakeet accessible to non-developers.

This week, we released our latest version, which ships:

• Windows: Parakeet TDT 0.6b v3 via ONNX Runtime (CPU and CUDA variants)
• Mac (Apple Silicon): Parakeet TDT 0.6b v2/v3 via MLX Audio runtime
• One-click model downloads from our Runtime Manager, drag and drop to transcribe. 3 clicks to a usable transcription.
• No need to set up Python virtual envs, terminal commands, no CUDA configuration.
• Drag-and-drop transcription
• speaker diarization in one extra click
• Export to SRT, VTT, DOCX, PDF, JSON, CSV or raw text

Parakeet's accuracy and speed are impressive, but we found that the setup barrier still keeps a lot of people from experiencing that speed. Most people who need transcription, such as journalists, lawyers, podcasters, filmmakers, have not used Terminal or know how to set up a python virtualenv, or configure PyTorch. We wanted to bring Parakeet to that audience.
