lo_l1c() is concerned with creating psets with pointing_start/end_met, spin numbers, pivot_angle, hae_longitude/hae_latitude, and sc_position/sc_velocity unconditionally. Additional map-making attributes like *_counts, exposure_time, and the background-rate variables can be filled-in when the science dependencies are present, otherwise we can leave them zero/fill.
This "issue" was noticed on a call with Nathan when we were trying to reconcile the results of imap_processing with his quicklook pipeline. An example of this repointing would be 20260317 (repoint 188), where we produce nothing, but Nathan's pipeline is able to making assumptions about missing data based on the pointing values.
Creating psets with the minimal viable information (pointing direction etc) will allow us to continue validating our processes with Nathan's for more dates.
