I previously had this running on a separate machine successfully, but got a new PC to use it on and fresh install of Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS and I am having issues.

the error I posted above was all which was shown, after that I was able to type again, so nothing more I could show from that.

From what you shared, this still looks like a Steam-side app metadata issue for 294420 (not a clear LinuxGSM regression): Steam login succeeds, then app_update fails with Missing configuration.
