Addon Update Notifications

Dear Devs,
I had the following idea.
Concept: Notifing the user when a new version of the addon is available.

This would work though somesort of Pop up message.
"The Addon:{AddonName} has a new version available. Currently version: {currentVersion} is used version:{newestVersion} is Available."

Then have two Buttons:
Don't show Again -> Does not show until the next version is relased
released
Update now -> Opens the addon Manger and installs the Update

I think most users would find a pop up of this nature far too intrusive. Modern software typically signals updates with small non-intrusive notification icons.
